The job market

The Professional Master's programme Discourse and Communication Studies equips graduates with the skills and insights necessary for any career involving the critical analysis, evaluation, and production of argumentative discourse. This includes evaluating and commenting on texts, writing persuasive texts and policy documents, and re-writing texts for presentation.

Graduates of the programme have gone on to become:

  • Authors and speech writers
  • Communication consultants 
  • PR managers
  • Communication trainers
  • Newspaper editors
  • Debate trainers

An academic career

The programme also prepares students for further research in this field. Graduates can opt to continue their studies in the Research Master's programme Argumentation, Rhetoric and Communication.
