International Dramaturgy (Arts and Culture)

Programme structure

This 18 months programme comprises 90 ECTS:

  • 24 ECTS core courses
  • 18 ECTS electives
  • 30 ECTS internship
  • 18 ECTS Master's thesis


Aside from the core theoretical courses, students will be able to personalise their training (through electives in music theatre dramaturgy, applied dramaturgy, curatorial dramaturgy, etc.), intensive winterschool, as well as national and international internships. The key features of this study program are the international exchange and internships. Through the Theatre Studies institutes’ partnership with universities and cultural organizations in different cities within and outside Europe, students benefit from learning from different academic cultures and artistic practices.

  • Key Concepts and Methodologies in Theatre and Performance Studies

The Master's thesis reports on research carried out under the supervision of an academic staff member involved in the programme. The subject of the thesis must be mutually agreed upon by the student and the academic adviser.
