Governing Europe (Governing Europe)

The Master's in Governing Europe is open for application to students with:​

A university Bachelor’s diploma

The Master’s programme European Studies: Governing Europe is open for application to students with a Bachelor's diploma from the UvA, or a recognised equivalent from another accredited university in:

  • European Studies

The programme is also open for application to students with a related (university) Bachelor's diploma in the:

  • Humanities*
  • Social Sciences*
  • Economics*
  • Law*

* In these cases students should have demonstrable knowledge of European integration or International Relations. This requirement is met with the UvA minor programmes European Economics and European Law or with at least 30 ECTS in European integration or International Relations.

English language requirements

New Master's students should be able to speak, read, write and understand English at advanced academic level. Please carefully check whether you already meet the English language requirements or whether you may need to arrange to take an official English language test.
