Identity and Integration (European Studies)

The Master's in Identity and Integration is open for application to all students with:

A university Bachelor’s diploma

The Master’s programme European Studies: Identity and Integration is open for application to students with a Bachelor's diploma from the UvA, or a recognised equivalent from another accredited university in:

  • European Studies
  • History
  • Modern European Languages

The programme is also open for application to students with a related (university) Bachelor's diploma in the:

  • Humanities*
  • Social Sciences*

* In these cases students should have demonstrable knowledge of European history or European culture. This requirement is met with the UvA minor programmes European Literature and Culture or European History, or with at least 30 ECTS in European History or European Culture.

Hbo-bachelor: not eligible

It is not possible to apply to this programme with a degree from a Dutch University of Applied Sciences (hbo). We do not offer a preparatory programme (schakelprogramma) for this Master’s.

English language requirements

New Master's students should be able to speak, read, write and understand English at advanced academic level. Please carefully check whether you already meet the English language requirements or whether you may need to arrange to take an official English language test.
