The Job Market

As a Religious Studies graduate, you will have developed unique skills relevant to a career in the field of religious studies, as well as a range of employment opportunities where a critical, curious, and academically-trained mind is essential.

You will qualify for high-level research positions at universities, research and development departments of governmental institutes, and for research positions in non-governmental organizations (NGOs). You will be able to pursue careers in science communication, science publishing, science policy and in public policy and consultancy or as an independent researcher.

An academic career

The Research Master's programme Religious Studies also provides a valuable foundation for those students who wish to pursue and complete a PhD programme in the Humanities or the Social Sciences at any university in the world.
