The Graduate School of Humanities welcomes all students who meet the academic entry requirements to apply for one of the MA programmes.

Every programme at the Graduate School of Humanities has its own entry requirements.
University Bachelor's degree
Applicants should have at least a University's Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the Master’s degree. Entry requirements differ per track and can be found under the 'Admission and Application' section of each programme.
The level of the Bachelor’s diploma from a foreign higher education institution must be equal to three years of Dutch university education. All students' transcripts and diplomas will be evaluated following the EP-NUFFIC diploma recognition guidelines.
Grade average for selective programmes
Selective Master's require a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of:
- B/3.2 (American system) (for dual tracks) and 3.5 (for research programmes).
- 2.1 (an upper second class degree in the British system),
- C (ECTS-system) (for dual tracks) and B (for research programmes).
- 7.0 (Dutch system) (for dual tracks) and 7,5 (for research programmes).
Note: Admission will not be granted solely on the basis of sufficient grade point average.
English language requirements
All students applying for an English-taught MA programme are required to be proficient users of academic English before being allowed to enroll.
