If you wish to gain access to one of the Master’s programmes listed above by means of this pre-Master’s programme, you must first submit an enrolment application in Studielink for the Master’s programme. Depending on which Master’s you are looking to do, the programme you must enrol in in Studielink is:

  • Media Studies 90 ECTS for the tracks  Archival and Information Studies, Documentaire en fictie, Journalistiek en media, and Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image.

Please note: You cannot enrol directly in the pre-Master’s; you must follow the application procedure for the Master’s programme as described on the Application and admission page of the Master's of your choosing. The selection committee can then admit you to the Master’s on the condition that you finish the pre-Master’s within a year. If you succeed at this, you are automatically admitted and will not have to go through the selection procedure again the following year. This procedure applies to all (dual) Master’s programmes that comprise 90 ECTS. Please note: the application deadline for selective Master’s programmes is 1 March!

For Master’s programmes that comprise 60 ECTS, no selection procedure applies. If you are admissible provided that you successfully complete the pre-Master’s programme, you will automatically be admitted to the Master’s programme if you complete the pre-Master’s within a year.

The pre-Master’s Media Studies gives access to all of the tracks listed above, regardless of which variant you are doing. Naturally, we strongly recommend that you choose the variant that corresponds with the Master’s you are looking to do.
