All students applying for a (pre-)Master's programme will need to start their application by submitting an enrolment request in Studielink, the Dutch online system for students applying for a degree programme at a Dutch university.

Important: registering in Studielink does not finalise your application. After registering in Studielink, you need to submit the UvA application form in MyInfo before the deadline that applies to the programme of your choice. Since it may take up to 48 hours to process your registration in Studielink, it is extremely important that you register in Studielink at least 48 hours before the application deadline.

Check your DigiD (before starting in Studielink)

Students who currently live in the Netherlands will need their DigiD to use Studielink. Students who do not live in the Netherlands can use Studielink without a DigiD.

Read the Step-by-step guide to Studielink

Before submitting your enrolment application in Studielink, read the 'Step-by-step guide to Studielink':

Register in Studielink

It is extremely important that you register for the correct title of your Master's programme in Studielink. You can find the correct title you should register for in Studielink on the webpage of the Master's programme of your choice.

Applying for more than one programme

Second track preference
You can apply for up to a maximum of four Master’s programmes. Some Master’s programmes offer different tracks. You indicate in Studielink which track you want to follow, and for this you submit an application file via MyInfo. It is possible to submit a second preference for a track within the same master via the contact form (option 'My online application' and then 'Adding a second track choice'). Please note that we will not process the track of your second choice if you are (conditionally) admitted to the track of your first choice.

Due to the selection procedure, it is not possible to enter a selective track as your second choice. If you are interested in a selective track, then this is the track you should register for in Studielink. You can then submit a second, non-selective track via the contact form above.

Second programme application
If you wish to apply for a second programme with a different Studielink name (for example the Master's in History and the Master's in Media Studies), please add another Enrolment application/Verzoek tot inschrijving in Studielink (with the same Studielink login as your first enrolment application), and submit a complete application for this programme in MyInfo as well.

All students applying for a Master’s degree programme with an international bachelor’s diploma are required to pay a non-refundable €100 application fee. You will find payment instructions in your SIS.
