Would you like to expierence the atmosphere of the Master's programme you are interested in? Or find out what a day on the programme is like? Then sign up for Student for a Day. You will attend a lecture and/or a seminar together with a current Master's student. Student for a Day is an excellent way to experience the atmosphere and familiarise with the content of the courses.

Who is it for?

  • You are in the third year of your Bachelor's programme
  • You have already explored the Master's programme of your choice, for example by downloading the brochure, studying the web text, and attending an information session.
  • Please note: Student for a Day does not include any specific information sessions during the Master's Week or tours.

What does Student for a day entail?

  • Becoming Student for a Day means that you will shadow a current student and together you will attend an actual lecture or tutorial.
  • Experiencing the Master’s programme alongside other students will give you real-life insight into university life and whether the programme suits you!
  • The current student that you will be shadowing can also answer any questions that you may have about the degree programme, studying at the UvA and student life in general.

When can I join?

Student for a Day is open until Spring 2026. There are no fixed dates; after registering, you will decide in consultation with the student or the programme on which day you will come and shadow.
